My partner's and I experience with them is one of underhanded dealings as well as lies. they lied to us to get a result that suited themselves. I have been renting through Buxton for the past year and it has been absolute hell - there is no other way to describe it. I have been through 4-5 property managers through this time, all whom are poor at communication and sorting out times for inspections.

I have been hassled multiple times by the male property managers who have bullied me but then turned around to be very polite and agreeable when contacted by my boyfriend. We have had to take a matter to VCAT as none of the property managers would address it until about a week before the hearing where there was a last minute scramble to offer us a rent reduction.

My personal details were also passed on to the landlord's lawyer who is now threatening to subpoena me. I cannot wait to move out of this house and forget that the past year of my life ever happened.

We bought our house through Buxton and we were extremely disappointed with the level of service, they promised us a clean house and yard before we moved in on more than one occasion and we were left with a filthy house and a yard riddled with hard rubbish. They also left our power on when it was due to be connected, which meant that we had to pay the power company extra to come back after we had switched the power off! My partner was on the phone for an hour talking to the general manager of the store before he caved and reluctantly agreed to pay the costs. Very bad service, I would not recommend them to anyone.
