Went with mum on Sunday for the advertised $39.95 women's trim. As soon as the hairdresser checked mum she said that the trim requested would actually be a re-style and will be $75.00. We decided (after 5 minutes) not to proceed and we left (we paid $8 for the preparatory wash). Mum had to walk out with wet hair. We could not find any $75 cut advertised on their "menu board" and the staff explained that the computer was used to determine the pricing as mum wanted 3 inches removed and her hair was already "layered". Quick research online and I found the going rate for such a restyle was around $45 from a reputable Salon nearby. We did not feel we were treated in a straightforward way or that $75 would have been value for money and once we said no to the price, staff immediately stopped and offered no means to dry mums hair , when I asked , they did loan me a brush for me to brush out mums hair before leaving. We went elsewhere as there are quite a few other good salons at North lakes. We felt pretty upset by the whole experience.

Approximate cost: $75

The first time I went to Buzz, North Lakes, I was very happy. They cut my hair exactly how I wanted and the foils were perfect.
Second time, they ignored my request to 'not foil the regrowth, just try to match the old colour to the roots as much as you can'. which is what the first girl had suggested. So it's now taken me additional time to regrow my natural colour.
Third time, I asked can you leave the layers and cut in this style, just shorten it enough I can still make a ponytail if I need. She cut my front parts right up to chin length, left the back the same length and put in so much product I didn't realise the difference until i got home and washed my hair.
The fourth time, i went with my partner they said they could just squeeze us in. They took my partner, accepted more customers, completely ignored my presence and then one of the girls further ignored the remaining customers to attend to her friend who just walked in.
The last time I went, I asked for the same style with layering again, not too short as I tie it up for work. She gave me a bob. One length that's too short to tie up.

I won't go back now. I'll pay the extra $50 or so to go to a well known salon.

Good, quick, cheap haircuts and you do not need an appointment. Great for a spare of the moment haircut.

Approximate cost: $30.00

Was a fairly cheap haircut, felt cheap too - nothing particularly impressed me about their service. Didn't want to listen to what I wanted done, was unevenly cut (one side longer than other due to slightly off-centred part being treated as centred) You get what you pay for.
