I would definitely NOT recommend C&L Coghlan.

C&L Coghlan replaced my terracotta roof at the cost of $33,000 for a new terracotta roof. After completion I find out it is not secure. Possums/rodents entering from valley to tile - huge gaps.

I believe ethically and morally C&LCoghlan should meet the cost ($1,925.00) of securing my roof with Storm Seal. At the completion of my roof, site manager stated  “for the next 7 years the roof was their problem - not mine”. C&L Coghlan refuse to secure the roof.

Why build a roof in a city that is plagued with possums/rodents for it not to be secure?? - absolutely poor workmanship, doggy and dishonest. After $33,00 cash, would not recommend any dealings with this company.

Under no circumstance pay the bill outright till the roof replacement is completed. The roof replacement is not complete even after half a dozen phone calls. The scaffolding is still on the roof, excess tiles still stacked out the back with wood and rubbish heaped out the front garden since December. Going to go through another phone call today, but don't like my chances. Martin McNulty.

Approximate cost: $9600

With all the wet weather experienced in Melbourne recently you may find you have problems with your tiled roof. If so, maybe it would be worth giving Coghlan's Roofing a call. By taking a look at Coghlan's website, you will see that they are experts in re-roofing, roof repairs, rebedding, pointing and extensions. In particular, Coghlans specialise in the following suburbs:Camberwell, Canterbury, Hawthorn, Kew, Caulfield, Brighton, St Kilda, Elwood, Essendon, Ivanhoe. You will find Leanne is very helpful when you call to ask for information and to book an appointment for an inspection. My roof was repaired and re-pointed by Coghlan's and I was thoroughy impressed with the work, as well as the high standard of tradesmen they employ. You will find Craig Coghlan exceedingly helpful when he comes to quote. He explains what the job involves in terms non-builders can understand.
