The family and I recently dined here for our boys birthday as we are all obsessed with Mexican food. I have to say we certainly were not dissapointed! They do a great taco and the meat is just delicious. Kids love the chicken. Salsa and guacamole is perfect.

Everything on the menu is so good and the friendly customer service from the ordering to getting your meal is exceptional for a casual dining eatery! The Burrito and sizzling Fajitas are standout dishes. And LOVE a frozen cocktail

We love dining here. Filling meals at very good prices. With 5 children it is great to find somewhere that has something for all of them to eat and doesn't cost a fortune.

This is a new restaurant that's popped up so it was busy with nearly every table booked. Without a reservation we were turned away at first until the manager stepped in and offered us a table on the proviso that we wouldn't take too long. That suited us fine. Calling the food Mexican is a misrepresentation as it lacked the herbs, spices and flavours like coriander, lime, jalapenos and general Mexican heat one would expect from such a meal. Mild. Very, very mild. Portion sizes were also small. One tablespoon of grated cheese and a tiny mound of limp lettuce is not sufficient to stuff 4 mini torn tortillas. Hopefully they can improve with a little tweaking to their recipes and readdress their portion sizes if they receive enough constructive feedback from the public.

I have to admit before eating here, I have never gone out for Mexican. It's just never my preference, I rarely eat it at all, even at home. We came here for lunch with some friends and it was surprisingly quiet for lunch time on a Sunday. The benefit of this of course was the service - our waiter professed to be on only his third shift, and as a result was incredible friendly and helpful. Considering there were only another couple of people eating there too, it was also well judged, we didn't feel hassled by him.

Due to my limited experience with Mexican food, I can't really be sure I'm the best judge. They have an extensive menu and we all received yummy meals, my enchilada was tasty but it was really just chicken and cheese wrapped up in a tortilla (maybe that's all it's supposed to be!). For satisfying, large meals Cactus Mexicana does well, but it's a little on the expensive side for my university student budget - I rarely go back to anywhere where a majority of the mains are over $20 unless the food is exceptional.

That said, I would hate to put anyone off this place, especially fans of Mexican food. It could be your new favourite! I wish I'd tried one of the margharitas!
