Great and friendly service every time I go to cafe amalia, they go out of their way to make sure you're happy.
Food is amazing, if you're going for lunch or dinner or just for a coffee in the afternoon.
They offer French wines and cheese which go really well together.
I am a vegetarian, their menu changes quite often and one night when I arrived there was nothing vegetarian on the menu so the chefs made me a special meal.
Each room in the restaurant has a different feel to it.
I definitely recommend going there to spoil yourself for a night.

Approximate cost: $25

This is a new addition to the leafy Rose Street in Armadale. Right next to the Toorak train station a a few minutes walk from the tram stop on Malvern road.

A French brunch / bistro cafe with an ever-changing gallery inside. Beautiful black leather seating, high ceilings, stained glass windows, wooden floors and fresh flowers (from neighbouring florist, Fleur).

Coffee was great as I gazed at the art displays. Food was delicious and deserved to be a serious contender on this buzzing little street. Had the pumpkin soup with coconut cream and the rabbit fettucine with green beans- very rich and befitting of a cool Winter's day. I also got to try the lamb shank pie - heaven on my fork!

They offer daily specials, shared plates, soups, baguettes, fresh salads, a wine list and cheese and wine nights every Thursday and Friday.

Recommended for a quiet little afternoon or evening.
