I booked a function in the private room upstairs and was called a few days later by the owner/manager to be asked to change the booking because he had a better offer for that day someone else wanted the room and had said that they would spend much more than my booking would generate for his business. he was rude and wanted to put my booking in the cafe when I had needed a private room for the function I was having very poor on his behalf

Went to a 50th birthday party in a private room at this place at the end of November. It was stinking hot and their air conditioner wasn't working so the upstairs private function area was like a sauna. Also, the sound system had packed up. Food was very average and scarce and when the host complained, the manager was INCREDIBLY rude to him in front of all the guests. Several people left. Many others said they'd never go back. The host was interviewed on a food show a few days later and really slagged them off. Interestingly, a couple of people phoned in and told their own horror stories. I certainly wouldn't ever go back.

We had a lovely time, good service and nice food. Didn't have to wait long for our food and it was cooked well no issues at all they made us feel quite welcome and didn't rush us to finish our meals. Very enjoyable night and will return

Let's just say they have a great courtyard but you have other options down the road with Urchin Bar if that's what your are looking for. I can only comment on the cafe experience but found the coffee a little disappointing and sent the muffins back twice.
