Cafe Di-leCtable

Food mediocre at best. Coffee arrived cold after a long wait. Replacement coffee not much better and left an unpleasant after-taste. Old man at front of house in the cafe was overwhelmed and his demeanour was rude and surly. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere.

We stopped here for lunch on a very busy day during the school holidays. We were served quickly and the food was good. The staff was a bit eccentric but we were fed ok.

Went for a breaky stop with 3 mates and we grabbed a chair from another table that wasnt used.
We hadnt even sat down and the [redacted due to personal identifier] guy behind the counter looked up and said "If i cant get through im gunna start throwing things at you".
Word around Cowes is this IS typical behaviour.
Needless to say we just left. [redacted due to offensive language].

We came here for breakfast on the weekend and found a spot for two in the window and looked at around at the mildly quirky signs and decorations in the cafe and ordered the bacon and eggs (for me) and Eggs Benedict for my wife. As we ordered we were warned about the strength of their coffees so chose medium strength and were very happy. My eggs and bacon arrived fairly quickly but then we had to wait until half way through my breakfast before the Benedict arrived (yes my wife told me to start eating!). Not sure if they are bad with their timings or perhaps they just made a mistake with the first round of poached eggs for the Benedict?

The food was good but wasn't overly creative, come here for strong coffee!
