Food was very disappointing. My friend and I both had the pumpkin salad which should have included baked pumpkin, quinoa, mixed salad, candied walnuts, marinated Persian feta, dill labneh, fried kale & pickled veggies, and lemon verjus. However, all there was on our plates was a small slice of baked pumpkin, one tablespoon of quinoa, a couple of walnuts and a few green leaves. The feta, labneh, kale and pickled veggies were nowhere to be seen!

The food at Cafe Saligna can be a bit of a hit and miss, thankfully from experience it's more hit than miss!

Having said that, it's just another cafe with average coffee and standard wholesale cakes. Their $13.50 big breakfast is good value.

Sometimes the staff can get a little flustered if they are too busy, but almost always friendly.

We do love coming here, as it's right in the middle of the Cumberland State Forest and it's a great place to relax and have a chat after a walk in the forest. The live music adds that bit of atmosphere on the weekends too.

Café Saligna is located in Australia's only metropolitan state forest. I love listning to the Bell Birds and going for a mini bush walk after lunch. On weekends there is live music (acoustic guitar) They also do special events. Love it!
