OMG what a waste of time and money. Poor food! Woeful table service! After a total 53 minute experience, and only receiving 2 of our 4 meals we went to settle the bill (which was delivered to the table with the 1st 2 plates of food). Despite still not receiving 2 meals we had a full on debate to only pay for what we had received. Admittedly, the older women who EVENTUALLY came to the counter after numerous requests to speak to the manager, wrote off the remaining 2 non-existent meals... but it was an ordeal for all to get to that point! We were even threatened with security cameras taking our images , because they were 'everywhere', and them then 'tracking us down', if we didn't pay for the 4 meals ordered. Avoid the stress altogether. Give it a wide berth!

Approximate cost: $50

Went there for coffee and breakfast this morning. My husband ordered a flat white and got given a cappuccino without the chocolate - they happily replaced it. However after ordering we had to wait for over 40 minutes for two breakfasts. Then before we had even taken a mouthful they put the bill down on the table - didn't say anything like "here's your bill" or is there anything else we can get you. We wanted to get a drink for my daughter but weren't even asked. definetly not good table service. my husbands food had been partially microwaved which isn't good for a nearly $20 breakfast - you expect fresh cooked. Definetly would not go back.

I had lunch here recently and I wanted a gluten free and low sugar option vegetarian option as I am on a very strict diet at the moment. I spoke with the waitress at length trying to find out if any of the things on the menu which I liked could be made gluten free or using gluten free bread for the sandwiches and melts, but apparently this wasn't possible which was disappointing. In the end I opted for just a vegetarian wrap which was supposed to have roasted vegetables. The wrap was quite bland really, lots of lettuce and I couldn't taste any kind of sauce or pesto or anything like that and it didn't seem to have much roasted vegetables, just a few pieces of capsicum. A little boring but at least the service was friendly and my food came out quickly, they also made a good coffee for me and the lunch prices are quite cheap. I would have really liked to have seem more variety and special diet options though.

My mum and I go shopping and do lunch once a week and every 2nd or 3rd week we go to Charlestown and eat at Café Salt. Its a great café with plenty of seating and lots of room for prams. They could do with a couple more high chairs though considering they are right near a play area.

I get the same thing every time we eat here, Eggs Benedict with Bacon and it is always great. Perfect amount of sauce and the eggs are always gooey. Mum has tried a few things on the menu and says they are all yummy too.

Great prices, great selection and great staff!
