We ordered takeaway breakfast on a weekend, we had a Turkish bread roll with bacon and eggs, which was lovely and very filling, although bacon was slightly crispy and the egg little runny .. causing it to drip!!

the coffee and hot choc we had were lovely, very warm to drink and tasted great with our breakfast.

staff were courteous and did not make us wait long for our order.

I recently visited here with my 3.5 year old and sister. My drinks order was forgotten about, and after 20 minutes I had to approach the counter and remind the wait staff.
The meals were average and overpriced for what they were. My sister ordered a polenta stack and it was so bad that she only ate a few mouthfuls.
There was no chalk for the blackboard in the kids' area which was a shame.
Disappointing all round, as I love a kid friendly cafe, but it seems that at Piccante you have to compromise on service and food quality for a play area.

On a lazy Thursday arvo i found this caf on St Georges Rd opp. Haul in Nth Fitz.
Owner is the barista who looks like a boofhead, but has a bit of style. Coffee is good and unlike the rest of the village, the prices are reasonable. I'd be a regular if i lived Northside.

Approximate cost: $11
