Driving from Beaudesert to Chermside, pulled into calamvale hotel for lunch.
1st thoughts "what a beautiful sparking eye catching hotel" led to a table straight away, prompt service awesome, then the waitress rocked up.
Down hill from there guys.
Meals was great along with price, must of been a bad day for staff yea.

I think the revamped restaurant is a huge improvement. The restaurant is clean, spacious and modern. The food was very generous and good value. The children's meals were huge and there was a good selection. There were not many vegetarian options though. The pub side is always busy on Friday and Saturday night, but I didn't go into this part. The service was average, so this would be the only issue that I might have with the place.

The Calamvale Hotel is our 'suburban' pub. Unfortunately the meals in the restaurant have become increasingly expensive. Also, the breakfast special and roast specials just keep going up and up in price, with no real improvement in quality or value for money. In addition, the service in the bar is in need of improvement, I have found bar staff to be quite unfriendly and dismissive.

They do cheap roast lunch meals here every day. It is really good value. Works out to be about $7.95 with any drink purchase. The roasts are always really nice, they usually have a selection you can choose from: either roast pork, beef, baked ham, crumbed fish, chicken schnitzel, beef casseroles. The normally serve about 3 dishes a day, and you just pick which one you want and its serviced with vegies like potato bake, peas, broccoli, pumpkin & gravy - extra for a bread roll.

beautiful restaurant with roaring fireplace, meal was lovely duck cooked to perfection. service was not too bad recommend lowering prices to keep patrons but all in all a good experience!

My meal was a little disappointing. It did not really have a lot of flavor. The new renovations make the place so great compared to how it was before.

Great meals at affordable prices. Roast Lunch is great for family get together. Good selection of meals and drinks as well as staff that are very helpful.

Its ok... always busy. The food could be better but is ok too fill your guts. The Nightclub is good fun if the pubs too quite for you, i personally choose just to chill in the pub adn listen to the band and watch the drunkens dance.
