I arrived at this café around lunch time I walked in the woman at the counter completely ignored me, so I wandered around looking at their products I was intending on having lunch I chose a couple of their products walked back to the counter the woman still didn't say Hi or can I help you she simply took the products from me keyed them in and said the price . I paid and walked out without stopping fro lunch I would not recommend simply because of the extremely poor service from this woman in a purple tee shirt.

It pains me to say this because we absolutely love the Cape Lavender in Metricup but their cafe in West Swan leaves A LOT to be desired, in fact it was the WORST experience that I have had in a long time. I would say that the worst thing about it was the complete and utter lack of service, it couldn't even be described as bad - there just wasn't any. The waitress was completely unhelpful, and barely said a word. Firstly we waited at cellar door but when we were ignored there we decided to have coffee, we then waited for a good lenght of time before we were seated and were then left for an age before menus were produced - nothing said, they were just thrown on the table. Now this could be forgiven if it was a busy day but there was only one other table in the cafe. We had a baby and a toddler with us but a highchair was never offered instead the waitress just watched us struggle with them. When the coffees arrived they were scalding hot, the milk was burnt and it was probably the worst coffee I have had in a long time. We also ordered a lemonade for the kids to share wihich came in a tall glass and was just totally inappropriate for a child. When we went to pay for the coffee the waitress didn't even ask how anything was, perhaps she is aware of how horrible the coffee is. She just stated the price took our money and that was it, no please or thank you or have a nice day. We were still interested in getting some wine but when we asked if we could try some and have some assistance at cellar door we were told we would have to come back in ten minutes because there was a group there, mind you the group consisted of about three people and she wasn't willing to let us try anything at the other counter. I was so disappointed and I wont be going back.
