I needed something quick to eat before I came home as there was no food in the house. It was a bit late in the afternoon, so there was slim pickings. However, they still had my favourite steak and mushroom pie. For an amazing price, I tucked into it straight away.

It wasn't quite as good quality as I hoped, but for a price so low you can't really complain.
It boasts of winning the best pies in canberra competition for years in a row, but it should be noted that these were all about 6 years ago.

Still, I would recommend it for a quick pit stop.

I love my food and Capital Bakery make the best pies i've ever had. I'm a fussy pie eater and they not only taste great they have fresh ingredients, the staff are always friendly and like to share a coffee and a chat.

The bread is cheap and they have a good variety of the basic choices. They have some nice cakes - my favourite is the Chocolate nougat. Service is good and the staff friendly.
