GREAT FISH AND CHIPS! I love this place, really fresh potato cakes, corn dogs, salads and chips. My family love the fish from here and never go anywhere else. Really friendly staff too :)

A great place for fish and chips close to my relatives home. Staff were pleasant and prompt with our order of the usual fish and chips as well as potato cakes, tasted very fresh and delicious - no soggy chips here!

Had a craving for some fish and chips and it was suggested by family that we go here.

The fish was so fresh, I had a piece of flake, it was larger than I expected and cooked perfectly. The chips were crispy and we returned the following day as I wanted to try the souvlaki, which was awesome, loved the garlic sauce.

Such a fantastic fish and chip shop! The food is so delicious. The quality is wonderful. As is the service. The shop is extremely clean and you certainly get value for money. The battered fish is scrumptious! I highly recommend! :)

I have been looking for a decent Fish n Chip shop for a long time and Gummys was recommended on their Souva's. They are unbeatable. A friend and I have one ever time we meet up. we even get them open in a container. The place is clean and the staff are friendly. Food is excelent and the oil is very clean.
If they change hands, I hope they never change the service as it is fantastic service.

We have tried several fish n chip shops after moving to the area, we found captain gummys to be the best. Definitely the cleanest! Fresh fish, and great value. Fast service, ring ahead orders accepted.

I visited this place after hunting through womo reviews for my area. I was exhausted from Uni work and there was no way I was going to cook. Reviewers weren't wrong, this place has great fish! We had snapper, pineapple fritters and a potato cakes and chips. Pineapple fritters and fish were standouts. I didn't try the potato cake as my son stole it from underneath me. Chips were cooked well in clean oil but were the normal highly processed kind. Still nice but would have preferred a smaller serving of hand cut or beer battered chunky fries. Of course, that's strictly personal preference.

Best Fish & Chips in eastern suburbs! Great Gluten Free range! Feel like I can finally have a place to go, and get a great take out, which I won't regret after! Great staff/owners! Decent people, who love what they do! Good family business!

Best Chip shop around! They make a yummy veggie burger, with beetroot! Fish & chips are excellent. Shop is very clean. Staff, owners, are friendly, no wonder this chip shop is always packed, especially Friday & Saturday nights.

A very clean and fresh shop. It is obvious that the fish is fresh because the shop doesn't smell like some fish and chip shops. It is averagely priced, but is defiantly worth it, make sure to phone ahead at the weekends because it can be a long wait otherwise

Love the exceptional service received here every week! The staff are always so friendly and love to make a menu recommendation for those days when we are too indecisive. The chips are always cooked to a nice golden colour, dimmy's and potato cakes are mmm mmm. They also have South Melbourne Dim Sims, so they make a nice change every now and then too. The fish is fresh and cooked very well. You will never be disappointed in this shop.

The locality of the shop is great and the quality of the food is excellent. They always have freshly caught fish. A nice clean shop with friendly staff .
