Wanted a quote for my car and decided to use the 'Quick Quote' option on the CarBuyersOnline website.

(Nothing quick about this.) Upon completing the online form information you get....the promise of a phone call. No quick quote.

I was eventually phoned at an inconvenient time and then a text. I replied to the text that I was after the quick quote and wouldn't be able to talk till later that day, so please send through the amount. - Reply was: Ring later when it suited me...still no quick quote.

Later that day I rang through, twice, to no answer and so went back to text asking for the quick quote amount so I could decide if it was worth persisting with trying to contact them. No response, no amount, no quick quote.

Finally contacted me later and went through a series of questions that replicated some of the online Quick Quote information I had previously entered. I reiterated again that I was just after the quick quote.

After all of this the person on the phone said: 'Well, leave it with me and I will come back with a price.'

I was dumbfounded, still no quick quote of any kind. Not even the sniff of a ballpark amount. The person on the phone didn't take kindly to me pointing out this wasn't very quick and told me to just keep the car and hung up.

The website is clearly deceptive about being able to provide a quick quote. If the first point of contact is deception and they take offence at being shown this, I can only conclude that this is not a trustworthy way of selling.

I suggest you simply try elsewhere first and use this company as a last resort.

What could have been a stressful experience for a single woman turned out to a so smooth . From the minute I walked in the door I felt welcome. Samm was so upfront and honest. no pressure! I knew I was at the right place.The whole procedure was smooth and relaxed, and money was deposited that day.
He even offered to drive me to collect my new car.I can't say enough about this family business.Thank you!

Family owned and run with great service! Received a great price far better than my trade in I was offered on my car! Payment was in my account before I left the office. Philip,Samm and the rest of the family where great and handled the whole process extremely professionally. I will be recommending to all my friends and family.

Arrived late, did not check car properly as it was dark by the time they arrived, they then offered a lower value than first quoted. This amount was already in their envelope of cash ready to hand over so they had decided this lower price before seeing the vehicle.
I then received a parking infringement after the car was sold and they insisted on paying it as is rather than transferring the fine into their name. Not ok with this.

Friendly, family business who seem to really care about their customers- Gave me a very fair price and didn't try and haggle me down. Highly recommend and will be bringing my next car here. Thank you.
