Hired them back after a good first experience doing domestic and carpet cleaning - this time just for domestic cleaning.

Unfortunately, this time the experience was absolutely AWFUL! I'll never use them again!

They first mid booked for Saturday instead of Friday. Then, when their two cleaners arrived on Saturday, they asked for extra money for parking... Which I hadn't heard of as a charge before - to which they said I did get that in my confirmation email... Hmmm... Not starting well.

The cleaners themselves were new to the country and I was unsure they would understand the nuances of cleaning an expensive Australian home (and it didn't help when they needed me to explain how to use the electronic door keys), but trusted them and left them to clean.

My concerns were borne out when we returned as they were leaving. This is what I found:
- No cleanliness of carpets - dirt everywhere, but especially on the edges... No idea if they vacuumed the carpets
- Hair from bathroom floor on kitchen floor
- The whole house stinks of very dirty mop smell combined with Dettol
- The water of the mop which we saw as we left was rancidly dirty
- Stains on carpet that weren't there before
- No dusting anywhere - every surface was full of dust!
- Damage to cabinet in kitchen where they probably banged their vacuum... And similar marks at the same height on two door frames
- New scratches on our stove top and kitchen sink steel surface due to the use of an abrasive scrub
- No corners, edges, etc were touched, and dirt pushed to the edges
- There's a trail of dirt left immediately outside our apartment door in the common corridor of the complex.

This is evidence of absolute lack of training and their equipment (which we saw as they were leaving) was awful and dilapidated.

We are now cleaning and undoing the damage before guests arrive tonight... Including trying to get rid of the mop smell from every surface and in every room.

They were ill equipped, ill trained, inexperienced and had a standard of cleaning that was so low that our apartment was left dirtier and (much) smellier than when they started.

When I asked for a refund, they offered to refund just over half the price ($90)! They should have paid me for the work they created for us!

The job done by these guys was great. They were very polite and explained to me the whole process. All the coffee stains are out. It's a miracle, thanks a lot.
