Carrara Markets

The market itself has some decent bargains around. A big market can easily get lost, and there's no signs to point out the toilet or maps to find out where you are. It could use a bit more atmosphere and buskers around the quiet parts, especially on the other side of the bridge. Probably the only market in Queensland that doesn't allow dogs, which is a bit disappointing and definitely a factor in choosing which market to visit on a weekend. After being a regular at Eat Street, where dogs are welcomed with open arms, it's hard for me to imagine a market without our furry friends roaming around. A kids' play area or playground would be a drawcard too. Despite these shortcomings, I still recommend a visit, but there's a lot of wasted potential.

Great place to take family on the weekends. Something for everyone. I love looking at the tools. Kids can go on pony rides plus heaps of kids stuff. Wife loves the fruit and veg. Great place for breaky too.

Very enjoyable markets! Heaps of different little stores! Not a fan of the inside part though. Heaps of different things to look at and you will probably find something you've always wanted! :)

We like coming here on a Sunday for breakie and a sticky beak around the markets. It's pretty good big and a huge variety to offer

Love coming to the markets here it's absolutely huge. Always have everything we want and are looking for. Great food too

Great markets! Love the mini pankcakes that they sell here, it is almost a tradition that every time we go to these markets we gran some of the delicious pan cakes to go and walk around whilst eating. During the hotter months I like that they have the under cover area so we can stay out of the sun for a while then later venture out into the outdoors! Always grab lush fruit and veg here :)

These markets are always so busy! However also so affordable! Not a fan of the inside part but absolutely love walking around the outside! We come here and have breakie too

Markets can get overcrowded, im not a fan of the under cover area but outdoors are good. I go here for a cheap watch or cheap sunnies. Kids also like looking at the pet store.

everybody loves the markets, their always full of different things to see.. quality can change but there's always something good for everyone at the Carrara markets.

You will find a great deal here for sure! Some of the stalls could be kept a little cleaner, but all in all they have great places to eat the yummiest greasiest breakky and lots and lots of stalls with heaps lots to look through. Some stores are permanent like pet shop, some are different every week. You won't go home empty handed :) Plus my kids love the pony rides!

WOW! I am so impressed with the Carrara Markets. It's so big, with a huge variety of stalls. I was on the coast for one day and did not get to see all of it while I was there. I'll definitely have to make another trip to check it out fully, but it's definitely a place to see, even if once.

Carrara is the largest markets ive ever been to. Have a large number of stalls, so takes a few hours to see it all. There is eating areas through out with a wide range. There is mini putt putt for kids. Stalls range from pet shop, cheap veg shop, to nik nacs. Both new and old things are sold. Most prices are reasonable. There are shuttle bus or u can drive. There is plenty of parking. I met the owner and he is a lovely guy.

Great selection of items. There are so many stalls here! There are a lot of homeware stalls, which are great if you are a local but not so great if you are a tourist. Shuttle bus is a great idea and so cheap.

went to this place last week and on the gate it said open 7days but when you get in and talk to people they tell you that is only for the stall holders so you have to come on weekends and well i found that what we got a drink for 4 dollars was outragous so i wont be going back

great selection of items, most at very reasonable prices. there is every thing from food, drinks,toys,clothes, plants, pots,furniture. there is something there for just about everyone

Carara Markets is a great place to visit on the weekends! They are famous for their all day big breakfasts from any of the cafes there. They have lots of unique stalls to visit and pony rides and entertainment for the kids! There is so much to look at and do at the markets and you are sure to find a good bargin or two!

Keep going back to this market, I buy a lot of plants from there really good quality and great prices and your buying direct.

I've been a couple times and they just aren't that appealing to me. It's just a lot of junky $2 style stuff that I've ever seen. As for food if you want bacon and eggs there is no shortage of stalls selling that. Just alright for me.

These markets are on every weekend and I love to go shopping there. Everything that you're looking for, chances are you'll find it at the markets. Food, entertainment and hundreds of stores are all there to enjoy!
