After being misdiagnosed for more than 15 years, it was very soothing to find a doctor who wasn't dismissive of my illness, and didn't write me off as an hysterical hypochondriac. After seeing her twice, she sent me off for some non-medicare tests which were about $100-$200 dollars each. Bingo! I have a reasonably rare blood disorder. These docs are on the ball, and not completely ignorant like most GP's. Very Very Very Happy. I have my life back. A visit is a bit on the pricey side but worth every penny, plus you get medicare rebate.
