This place is everything it's write up in the Sunday Age made it out to be. If your restaurant is chockers on a Wednesday night, you know you're onto a good thing. At Chesters, we encountered nothing but beautiful food, delicious wine and impeccable service. We were seated outside as inside was full, but our waitress came over and turned on our heater for us, and it was actually preferable to the hubbub inside.

The food was amazing, I had the saffron linguine, and our waitress actually brought us a complimentary round of drinks to apologise for having kept us waiting for our meals!! We'd only been waiting for half an hour or so and were by no means becoming impatient, especially as we'd already had the complimentary bread and ordered some chips. It was a really nice gesture and I've certainly waited longer in other restaurants with no such treatment.

They have specials on on different days (Wednesday was BYO night with free corkage) and have happy hour between 4-6 with 2 for 1 drinks. Absolutely no complaints, it was the best meal AND experience I've had at a restaurant in a long time.

Approximate cost: $25-30
