DO NOT GO HERE!!! Incredibly disappointed. Someone just said hi to me as I entered and left me. I made my own way to a seat, observed how the taffs took no time to make me feel warm, welcome, or inform me what was going on or how long I'd have to wait. Instead they gave more attention to their other clients. chatting away and walking past me. Often, I was the first one to smile. Hair experience was TERRIBLE! I informed the hair dresser that my scalp was burning. Staff was taking too long to apply the dye. It was over processed. Staff kept saying "5 more mins, it hasn't lifted yet". Staff didn't even put toner through at the end. Staff didn't bother to ask me to make a follow up appointment. So I suffered from chemical burns that caused me to have embarrassing and painful scabs all over my scalp and took 2 weeks to fully heal and peel off. My hair was left turning orange after the first wash and had to endure the worse colouring I ever had for weeks so my scalp and hair could recover somehow. I have so traumatised from this experience.

I have my hair and my two year old's hair cut here for about a year and we are very happy! Sam cuts our hair and is a very skilled stylist. Nothing is too much when cutting my son's hair, he isn't stressed out and Sam even lets him squirt the water bottle which he loves!

Had to recently change salons after previous hairdresser stopped working. A friend recommended this salon and it's great. The 'sit' of my hair after the cut was better than it had been previously. Much easier to take care of it. I'm glad my friend recommended it. I drive from Merrylands to Penrith area once a week to visit friends and fit the appointment around that, but if I stopped going to Penrith I'd still make the drive for the salon.

I had a men's harcut at Chimes for the first and last time today. The hairdresser was slightly friendly but was pretty careless. My hair along the back has been cut lopsided, something I would have noticed had she held the mirror to show me the back of my hair. Instead of my hair being blended from a shorter to longer length there is a noticable 1cm step, I asked her to fix it, she cut a bit more hair but somehow still left the step there. I paid $20 for the hair cut but would rather have paid $40 for a better cut elsewhere!

I have been visiting chimes hair design since february this year. i have had alpecia since i was young and last year shaved my hair 3 times to help it thicken and grow to one length. When i went and saw the girls at chimes they were so accepting of my situation ad made me feel comfortable enough to visit a hair salon, something i have never done. The girls continue to give me great service and i feel happy that i can fell like a normal person and visit the salon for a pick me up every few weeks or months. Thank you to all the staff Melanie :)
