Love this shop my daughter and me have coffee here all the time and something special to go with it. I love the banana bread and the chocolate delights to choose from. I find the staff just lovely and helpful :)

Visited here during the week for the first time. I ordered the Fondue for 2, which had loads of yummy sweets to dip into the Milk Chocolate, the Churro's were definetley my favourite, along with the Nougat. There were 4 of us, and we ordered to platters, however I think we could have ordered one to share between 4! The table was a little cramy, and the restaurant itself is quite loud, but otherwise the atmosphere was nice. Only disappointment was that the waitress spilt my little sisters coke all over her, she was very apologetic, and did bring her out some small chocolates, but seeing she was saturated I thought they could have wiped something off the bill (especially seeing the chocolates she bought out were not very nice) Otherwise it would have been a nice morning out. I think next time I will just order the Churros and chocolate as I think the Churros are the star here. The Hot Milk Chocolate is also quite nice too!

Approximate cost: $18

I visited the cafe last week when I finished work and met my boyfriend we called in for just a hot chocolate but ended up getting the fondue and I was just a,axed it was beautiful and only took minutes to come out, the staff also gave us complimentary water to wash all the chocolate down with and had a really funny ninja cat tips jar which we loved and thought it was a nice way of getting people to notice it.

Approximate cost: $18

The chocolate experience was fantastic, we had fruit dippers, the fruit was so fresh, very nicely presented (not just thrown in the dish) The iced coffee was very refreshing although I missed the cream on top (love my cream) all in all really great will definately be going back.

Approximate cost: $35.00

Visitied this highly anticipated store after good reviews yesterday. I would have to say the end verdict was average.
An iced coffee ( my pet love) is simply coffee milk with icecream.... since when did it get reivented with no CREAM :( i would much prefer to forfeit the icecream ( not that you should have too ) but very disappointing.
I do have to say the fruit duo for 2 was just divine a perfect mix with the ever famous and freshly hot churro's with a jar of mixed fruit to dip in the divine dipping sauce that is so creamy it doesn't leave that uncomfortable film afterwards.
It was a sunday morning and regulars clientele walking in and out. Manager was very accomodating unlike waitress just wanting to get the job done so it seemed not really making it 'an' experience so to speak and the uniform .... not meaning to sound like a prude but please leave the shorts/ skirts that barely cover bum cheeks at home!!! It is just plain uncomfortable to have have bum cheeks floppng around the cafe that looks classy but cant completethe picture with its staff.

A group of friends and I decided to visit San Churro Penrith after leaving Hoyts one drizzly night. My friends had claimed that churros were delicious, and as a long Spanish donut virgin, I welcomed the opportunity to try something new.

For a Monday night, the cafe was virtually empty. Given that, it still took the waitress about five minutes before she came to greet us. After we decided on what we wanted to eat, the waitress came to take our orders. I ordered the "Bubbaccino", an amusing sounding drink that I was curious to try, as well as Churros for 6. My friends ordered their milkshakes and then we waited.

To reiterate, the place was not packed therefore one would assume prompter service. I might not have minded the wait that day, as I was neither hungry nor impatient (as I was chatting with friends), but on another day, long waits could easily be found as tiresome.

When the waitress returned with our drinks and churros, I noticed that she had not given me my bubbaccino. I waited for another 5+ minutes until I checked the receipt and realised that it was not even on there. Despite the fact that my drink was the first item that I mentioned while ordering, it had not been written down and therefore I never got it. I was greatly disappointed in this, and did not bother to hail her back down for it.

The churros themselves were vastly unappetizing. Thinking they would taste like doughnuts, it was an unwelcome surprise to find something that essentially tasted like deep fried potato chips. The only things that made eating these churros possible were the caramel and liquid chocolate as supporting condiments. After eating them, my stomach felt uncomfortably unsettled as well.

I can only state that Chocolateria San Churro is not particularly eloquent through their food. This, combined with my missing order makes this an establishment that I am not necessarily eager to visit in the near future.

Approximate cost: $10
