It has been a pleasant experience to visit here. There is nothing quite like a hot fresh donut covered in warm gooey chocolate. I have had better elsewhere, that seemed to be fresher/better ingredients, and a more authentic atmosphere, which is a bit lacking here compared to real cake shops next door.

The hot chocolate at this branch is the best so far. I've tried some different chocolate shops like max brenners in the city, but this particular branch of san churros provides a really thick cup of hot chocolate. I wouldn't mind going back just for one. Works well in winter when all you can think about is nice warm hot chocolate whilst it's freezing outside.

When I was living in Melbourne and every time I visit now, I always drop in to have some Azteca Hot chocolate (the spicy one!) and churros (spanish doughnuts dipped in chocolate). Their hot chocolate is like sex in a cup! Absolutely delicious!

Approximate cost: $6

I think the Classic Spanish Hot Chocolate is the most delicious hot chocolate ever. It is thick and creamy and tastes like real chocolate. One of the biggest problems was San Churro's change of the recipe earlier this year. There was also a price increase, of their already inflated prices. Despite this, I would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone wanting a chocolate fix- no need to add sugar!

I had never tried Spanish doughnuts before - These are amazing!
The shop has all sorts of chocolate treats but the dough-nuts are just incredible.
Acland street is always a great place to be and this place is the perfect way to end a great night out with friends.
highly recommend you try these - unless you're on a diet!

Very Delicious Chocolate treats. I fell in love with their chocolate and dounuts from the first time i tried it. Various san churros shops around victoria now as well as interstate. This one in Acland street is nice because their is extra seating then some of the other shops. Recommend!

Very Delicious Chocolate treats. Fully worth while if you are in the mood to spend a little extra. Try the Churros. OMG! SanChurros is a chain. I think its a small chain since I have only seen a few others. I have gone back several times even though it ends up costing the same as a light dinner. The quality of the chocolate is as good as it gets, and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Don't expect to get a meal there, since they only serve hot drinks and desert. It is by far my favorite desert shop on Acland street.

Approximate cost: $30
