I have been at Chocolates Del Mondo twice and have mixed experience. This place seems to be pretty quiet most time. My 1st experience was pretty good, with coffee and pancakes, service with strawberries and bananas server quickly. The 2nd time I visited Del Mondo wasn't so good. we ordered the Caramel Chocolate Waffle sundae, a pineapple fruit chill drink & Fragoloso (coffee with ice cream, whipped cream & strawberries), which was a bad choice. We found a fly in the coffee & saw a cockroach run across the counter. The waiter forgot our dessert & was actually mopping the floor whilst we ate.

Approximate cost: $35

I think the chocolate here is not too bad and value for money is good. But the only thing is, those are too sweet, so don't recon to people who on diet

Visited Del Mondo a while back and havent came back since. The stuff they have on the menu is quite similar to Max Brenner, i have also noticed they are just a bit cheaper, but food quality wise, i would recommend Max Brenner. I had one of the Italian hot chocolates and it was quite nice, but be prepared to order aside a glass of water as it can get really strong with the chocolate! I would recommend this place if you want to try it out, its not terrible, but its not that great. Customer service is average, not too bad, but could be better.

This place is situated on the main burwood road with great sweets on offer. I have personally tried the fondu based on a friend's recommendation and must say it was good. Try the tartes too !

Where do I begin?

Del Mondo Chocolates at Burwood is one of two found in Sydney. Knowing this, there have been instances where service has certainly been lacking. I appreciate eye contact, a friendly smile, a staff member confident about the product and ability to use the provided technology to carry out business. This was non-existent at one point sadly to say.
I have visited Chocolates Del Mondo at Burwood several times since it's opening many months ago; in that time they have improved greatly and to their benefit, employed marvelous staff whom meet all the criteria above. For this I applaud them.

As far as the menu goes, you will not be limited by choice, rather by your own taste buds.
From my own personal experience, you are guaranteed a decent coffee (however the odd shaped cups might need rethinking), you are able to choose from hot and cold beverages and desserts, my recommendation would be the Chocolate Fondue (try the Churros for yourselves, I tend to substitue them for more fruit as I don't feel they quite have the art of churro making/cooking mastered). You are certainly spoilt for choice which might make the process of choosing your dessert that much more difficult.

Chocolates Del Mondo has a creative interior design as you will notice "chocolate" dripping from the roof. A clever idea to compliment the nature of the business. It is clear that they had less space than what they had hoped so it does feel somewhat cramped (as you notice the wait staff scurrying between the tables like a labyrinth), however you have the option of dining indoors or out which makes for an enjoyable reprieve.

Things to take in to consideration:
**Pick up a menu before you approach the counter if it's your first time, check out the refrigerated display cabinet or the menu displayed across the whole left wall.
**Parking is limited so be prepared for a short walk in some instances.
**Request a jug of water be brought to your table. *ESSENTIAL* as may experience a sugar overload.

Overall I am delighted with the direction Chocolates Del Mondo is headed and enjoy my time spent there a little bit more each visit.

Approximate cost: $10-$20

A chocoholic's paradise! Tried it out last week and loved it! Would definitely recommend their fondue and waffles. Yum yum yum!
