I asked the hairdresser to take only a small amount off the end of my hair, approximately 1 inch (for a trim) and she took about 4 inches off. I ended up with a bob that really did not suit my face. I also paid to have my hair coloured to a dark brown, which turned out nearly black and people at work referred to me as Morticia from the Addams Family.
