I’m dumbfounded and honestly feel a little heartbroken, I have been going to Church Ave Medical centre since my husband and I were trying for a baby 13 yrs ago, my doctor has always been so lovely, and I have always felt as though she cared for me and my sons health. Today I rang to book my son in for an appointment to be told that as he has not seen the doctor for over a year and he is classed now as a ‘New Patient’ and that she’s not accepting new patients. She has been his doctor since he was a baby going through all his vaccinations, colds, flu and the very worrying time he had pneumonia. I can understand that doctors now are getting overloaded with patients but there was no notifications at all that this was going to be a ‘New Rule’ as I was told and what makes it more frustrating he has been sick within the last year but when I have rung up previously to get him in she has been totally booked out for over a week and I couldn’t wait that long to see a doctor. I’m absolutely gutted! What ever happened to the family doctor?

I have been going to this practice for many years and at some points I have practically lived there with my illnesses! The staff are always very helpful, friendly and empathetic and you're not waiting too long. The doctors are great and efficient too - always willing to go the extra mile to make sure you receive the full treatment.

Always friendly and helpful. Try not to keep you waiting too long. Doctors efficient and know their stuff. Will try to fit in patients in an emergency even if they are booked up. Excellent service. Great family team atmosphere.
