My favourite restaurant in St Kilda. It's consistently excellent - excellent service, excellent food, and perfect location.

Authentic Italian. Love the freshly made pastas and variety of specials. Full body flavouring. Decent wine list. Good service. Only downside is no reservations.

It's a st kilda institution. Very retro with its big red vinyl booths and quirky art on the walls. It is old school italian. But not boring. Rather than dishing out the same menu of pasta, risotto & pizza variations, season upon season, year after year, Cicciolina is focused on seasonal produce and changes its selective and contained menu. My recent favourite - the crab souffle, served with champagne & chive veloute.

i met some friends in stkilda and we weren't too sure where we should eat (we are from the outer western suburbs)
We asked a local reatil shop and they suggested Cicciolina. It was a little noisy and quite busy but after 10 or so minutes we found ourselves getting drawn into conversations going on around us .

The food was fantastic, especially the meat balls & arancini balls. "To die for" as the barman said, and I tell you he was on the money with that comment. We originally ordered one serve of each but had about 5 serves of each between us by the end of the night.
The cocktails were great, the service great and the barman was absolutely FANTASTIC!

The food is great and the service very attentive. It is well worth the wait having drinks and nibbles in the back bar if you cannot be seated straight away.

Approximate cost: $30

Great food and a fast service,I love to hang around in the back bar for another drink.
i've been there a few times and there's always something new on the menu to try.
I would go back just for their chocolade pudding.
Anyway,if you want really good food for a good price aswel you should try it,expect some waiting time when you come in later, but thats why they have this great back bar where you can relax and enjoy your drink.

Approximate cost: $30

Took my girlfriend there on Thursday for dinner. At the beginning, she wasn't very impressed as it was a bit noisy and we're used to quiter places. But soon she was in love! The wine was great, the food was awesome and the service wasn't know it all- wannabes, they were truly professionals that left us to enjoy. We got there at 7pm so got a table straight away. Good overall, gf impressed, me very happy. Thanks!

Approximate cost: $35
