Great value. But I found these cinema's to be small and dirty. They also smelled a bit dusty. In need of a major clean and revamp. Staff are of average service, I think they just need a smile on their face. Smiles can go a long way.

This a lovely small cinema that is convenient and not too crowded. A lot cheaper than other cinemas in food and ticket prices. Overall, going to this cinema is a great value outing.

I love this old cinema, it has so much charm. The food/drinks prices are a lot cheaper than mainstream cinemas and the ticket prices are unbelievably cheap.

Old type and family owned. Location, price and the latest movies including 3D makes these cimemas the place to watch your favourite movie. If your preferred movie is not on here, then try their sister complex nearby in Balmoral

I believe it is one of only three entirely wood cinemas in Brisbane creating an incredible audio experience and thanks to the state of the art dual digital projectors it doesn't get much better.

Approximate cost: $8

Hawthorne Cineplex is quite a small cinema complex - I think it was built in the 1940s so it is quite old/ antique looking. They have three screens and have recently added the equipment to play 3D movies. It is a nice quiet cinema especially during week days.
