We have been using the parks and the playgrounds that are in the open areas in the council area recently. The smaller playgrounds dotted around are great for short visits and a much longer visit to the one at Hawthorndene was a great success. Play equipment for most ages , car parking, toilets, picnic tables and seating. Spaciously set out and children can run and run in an enclosed area. Great.

We moved into the Mitcham Council area about three years ago and are very impressed with the service that is provided by our council. The rubbish collection is efficient and timely, there is a library service, a JP service which is valuable to us and a great deal of information leaflets available. The council maintenance is always up to date which is great. The parks and gardens are well kept too. A very pleasant place to live.
