Good for cheap meals. Always packed with students at lunch time. I usually order the $10 bento special with pork or beef. I have seen people having the rice cake with cheese- looked really good but I have never been brave enough to try it. It just looks like way too much lactose and chili on a plate- something my tummy would not appreciate.
The lunch don menu is really good and affordable. For around $7.90, getting a full Korean/Japanese meal is a steal!
This cafe is situated at the alleyway. It's better to take bus or train and then a short walk along interesting shops to get there. I parked my car not more than 5 metres away at $4.50 per hour. At 12pm, it was already crowded. I ordered Spicy Beef Bulgogi Don that came with rice. It was not bad. But I quickly regretted when I saw my next table served the BIBIMBAB. It looked enticingly delicious.
Approximate cost: $7.9
At 11.30am on a weekday, CJ Lunchbar was crowded but no queue. I had no reservation but on knowing it was my first visit, staff led me to one of two empty tables. I ordered their lunch special - Cheesy Chicken Bulgogi Don (with rice). Portion - good for one person. Taste - not bad. But nothing to shout about.
Approximate cost: $9.90
This is a good lunch place during the working week for a "cheap and cheerful" lunch. Definitely is popular with students and other young people from what i have observed.
you can get a hot rice dish with meats etc for less than $10
no its not gourmet by all means, its a tasty hot lunch
it gets quite busy during lunch hours and you might end up sharing a table with a fellow diner
staff are pleasant and polite in serving you.
best of all the dishes are cooked fresh and you only have to wait about 5 minutes.
Approximate cost: $10
Thank you for reviewing, I will take note of this place for our next trip to Melbourne later this year
A great lunch spot for casual weekday lunches. Service is brisk and efficient, the menu is extremely affordable and servings are hearty and tasty.
Visit here quite often. This place is almost always very busy.
The food is yummy, their portions are generous. It offers a good value.
Their signature dish seems to be spicy chicken + cheese (forgot the exact name of it). Last time I had it, I had it with a girl friend (so 2 girls), and two of us shared one of these with some beer. Enjoyed it and it was really filling.
Worth a visit!
I went to this restaurant for lunch.. I tried the bulgogi.. it was very delicious.. and big portion! So, Value for money!
