Not a bad little pub to pop into for a feed. Spacious dining area with a kids entertainment room, the place has a family feel despite the rather large gaming area.

The meals I've had here have always been to an excellent standard in both serving size and quality.

The quality of service is neither amazing nor appalling, though on my most recent visit, I pointed out that the menu board listed Broccoli & white sauce, however, what was being served was actually Cauliflower & white sauce. This error on the menu was pretty much dismissed by the staff.

Will dine here again in future.

Has been renovated a couple of years back and is now a nice looking venue with separate gaming room and sports TVs, plus a play area for kids.

Addit June 2012: The last three times I've eaten here the food has been pretty awful - sounds OK on the menu, but has deteriorated dramatically in the last couple of years.

Chicken Caesar Salad - chicken chunks scattered through a tired salad of iceberg lettuce, not a cos lettuce leaf in sight, and plain mayo, no Caesar dressing.

Fish with chips & salad - fish was very dry and tasteless, the salad was finely shredded iceberg lettuce and carrot, absolutely drowning in Italian dressing (which wasn't mentioned on the menu & I didn't request). It had obviously been dressed ahead of time and refrigerated, as the lettuce was impregnated with the dressing & the whole lot was unpalatably chilled. I couldn't eat it.

I could go on, but all I really need to say is that I won't be going back & I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. A great pity, as it used to be good food in a nice atmosphere, located conveniently close to my Mum's home.
