I was looking around for a place for a few friends to go out and have brunch together, and this was the place I decided on - and I was quite impressed.

The prices seemed to be level with other cafes I'd been looking at.

Our waitress was lovely, always making sure our water glasses were topped up and very friendly.

I'd ordered the plain eggs and added a serve of bacon, and I was impressed at the generosity of the serve of bacon. Everything was cooked perfectly.

Speaking of bacon, one of our group mentioned (to us) when ordering that she'd not eaten bacon for a while as she'd been on a diet, but she'd lost weight and was going to have bacon - when the waitress brought our meals out, she commented on "the well deserved bacon" - so I thought it was nice that she'd remembered and wasn't just running on autopilot like you often find wait staff to be.

The other thing I liked was the ability to split the bill - I feel that is very important when going out with a group of friends because it makes it much easier to pay.

The only downside was I'd not noticed it was only 1 hour parking in the carpark outside the cafe, and the parking inspectors are quick to fine you for parking overtime - so that was a bit of a downer to our lovely morning. It's a shame because if you're having a great time out with friends, you're probably going to be there for more than an hour.

So the place was great and if I can find parking nearby for longer, I'll definitely be going back again!

so sorry to hear about the parking fine, but that's good how they split the bill though - the place seems like a great place to catch up with friends xx

Came by for lunch with my bestie.. I ordered the lamb and beet root salad was amazing. also, the califirnication drink was pretty good too. The customer service was excellent, really friendly and attentive. The food is great, so happy to pay for it. Over all a great lunch. Fyi: split bills not a problem which is GREAT! :) Will be coming back here if i am around the neighbourhood.

Oh, what can happen in 12 months! My last review (below) was over a year ago, and I stand by that review. I was here a few weeks back with a mate and we both ordered their "famous" burger (I actually don't think it's called the Famous Coco Lounge burger anymore... but anyways). The last time I had it, I labelled it as the "best burger I've had"! I don't know what they did in the last 12 months, if they changed hands or changed the burger recipe but their "famous Coco Lounge" burger will stay famous because it's terrible..! (Maybe I should describe it as "infamous"...)

Too much unnecessary filling - the beetroot and the pinapple was just unnecessary and it left the bun, lettuce and cheese all soggy. Speaking of the bun, it was too sweet and I know they were going for the whole "toasted bun" thing, but they left it on the grill for too long and it was burnt.

However, I was mostly disappointed with the beef patty itself. I remember when it was juicy and tender and would just break apart if you dig your fork into it. My beef patty was tough and burnt on one side, so much so that I had to cut it off so I could eat any of it. (I left the burnt part on the plate so they could see!). I didn't complain about my meal to any of the waiters while I was there though or ask them to make me another one - maybe I should have, and maybe I was entitled to one but I'm just not the person who would - I honestly think that they've been around long enough to know not to serve a half burnt beef patty to a customer... And I don't know how they would NOT have noticed how burnt it was; I assume they would have had to check before they constructed it.

Chips were good though. But I definitely will not order the burger again. So disappointed.

Approximate cost: $20

I should add that this review is slightly skewed since it's based on my last experience here ordering the burger. I go here regularly for breakfast because they have the best brekky in the area. So they're still great - just don't order the burger!

Making a bad burger should be a crime punishable by something not very nice!!!

I've heard it's really expensive and not really worth it... I guess I'll have to reconsider after your review!

Ordered pizza from here with a friend though it arrived promptly and the base was wonderfully crisp and fresh I found that the toppings where more on the frugal side of things, our waiter was friendly however but I found it a little too expensive, especially for a glass of wine which was over $10!

Lovely place to meet up and have breakfast. This place can get busy and you may have to wait for a table, though worth the wait, the meals are lovely.

Was not much of a fun of the food here. It's not that it was bad, for me it just wasn't my style and lacked a little more flavor. What Coco Lounge does good however are their hot drinks, this is the perfect place to sit back, relax and chill out with some friends over a hot cup of coffee or chocolate. The place is a bit small and i tend to find myself seated outside on many occasions, which can be a good or bad thing, depending on the weather.
