Beautiful restaurant with excellent service! Food was excellent - all very well prepared. We've asked the waiter to put together a menu with wines for us and he certainly did a great job.
I really like Coda for its unique offering. They combine asian cuisine with european cuisine, for something that I would call eurasian - and it is wonderful. There is a nice modern feel to the place.
And it is also great value (once you consider the quality of the ingredients, plate sizes and technique involved).
One of the best Asian fusions restaurants in Melbourne - amazing Vietnamese meets contemporaray European cuisine in a tapas style sharing plates. Venue is funky, music is good and the service is impeccable - always welcoming and very responsive. A bit pricey but worth it
A friend and I have wanted to try this restaurant for a while being that i don't like spicy food i was mainly interested in sticking to the european dishes We ordered the burata - delicious, crumbed lamb cutles with a green herb sauce - also very tasty, crispy fried spring roll with vietnamese mint (not to my liking) my friend ordered a fresh rice paper roll which she said she thought would be better than what it was.
We then had to move to the bar where we then ordered 2 separate dishes my friend ordered the blackened quail which she didn't particularly enjoy and I tried it and didn't like the taste either.
I ordered a cuttlefish salad which I also didn't particularly enjoy but was hungry so I finished more of it lots of parsley, didn't like the dressing and the grains they used
Then we both ordered desserts Which we both thoroughly enjoyed and thought they were the highlight my friend had the Coconut cream caramel with pineapple and I had a giandjua(chocolate) dessert.
Overall I think Coda is worth trying out sometime don't skip on dessert :)
Went for lunch two weeks ago with my colleague for the first time .. It was totally fabulous - Highly recommended!! I love the place (atmosphere), food (steak tartare was very tasty!!) and the staff (delivered great service)!! I would definitely go back again ..
I do love this place. Awesome mix of flavours and cooking styles. The staff are also some of the best in Melbourne.
One of my regular hot spots. I love the way the chefs use the ingredients here. One of my favourite dishes is the scallop with creamy tapioca...delish!!! I also love the desserts, I have never been disspointed with one at Coda.
