I went to Code Hairdressing with Black/Red hair and wanted the impossible to be chocolate with carmal foils. The new hairdresser, Lauren, was confident and professional. She had to bleach my hair down to an orange colour to be able to put on an ash brown. My hair had tint build up on the ends so needed alot of attention to get it to bleach evenenly. Lauren achieved this straight away and I was done with this part within 2 1/2 hours with hair looking and feeling terrific. Back the next week for caramel foils. I am thrilled with the result and would highly recommend this salon and Lauren the professional hairdresser.

I recently went down to Code Hair & Beauty for a cut, colour and relaxation massage. I have been to so many salons around Ballarat over the 2 years I have been here and was extremely impressed with my services I had done as well as the pleasant staff members. I highly recommend Code Hair & Beauty. I will definitely be back. Thank-you kindly ladies :)

I booked into code for a cut and colour. After waiting half an hour I was seated by the hairdresser who talked me out of my two original ideas (a full head of blonde foils or a belliauge) saying it would be too unhealthy for my hair - in retrospect I think it was because she didn't feel confident with these techniques. I put my trust in her and said I wasn't to fussy as long as it wouldn't look stripy, patchy and had NO yellow tones. When it was time to rinse my hair the hairdresser was busy with other clients so asked the beauty therapist to do it. She had never washed a clients hair before me and by the time she was done my face was covered in water and I had water half way down my back. My hair was dried off and to my horror it was a golden patchy blonde. The hairdresser admitted it had not turned out as she'd hoped and offered to put another colour over the top to fix it free of charge but to be honest I was to scared to let her do any more! She was halfway blow drying it and was doing such a rough job I told her not to worry about it - I needed to get out of there before I started crying. They then charged me $160! I was so shocked I just payed the money and left. I sat in the car up the road, cried and worked up the courage to go back to get my money back, after all, I had just handed over $160 to have my hair ruined. They gave me $100 back but $100 won't even come close to what it's going to cost to fix what they did to my hair, let alone the embarrassment in the mean time and my time wasted. I'm not usually one to complain but im writing this in the hope that no ones has to go through what I did...

Approximate cost: $160
