2 reviews about Continental Bookshop

The bookshop has such a large range of products, and strong ties to the cultural communities around Melbourne, so they stock the books that people actually like and buy. You're usually able to find either what you're after, or something else they suggest.

I have bought language learning books for two of my friends - one going overseas to live, and my flatmate who wanted to re-learn his parents' language. The key is getting good advice about which kit is best for you - incl. books or audio, and what level. The staff speak different languages (one speaks 8). They also stock a large range of kids' picture books & readalongs, and some fiction and non-fiction English books. They also have foreign music and DVDs! They have large German, French, Spanish, Chinese and Italian sections, but lots more.

Approximate cost: $20-$200
