Stopped today for 2 ham cheese & tomato toasted sandwiches & $6.40 each. Cook forgot to process our order and when it arrived there was no cheese and the sandwich did not resemble the picture in any way! Scant ham, 2 slices of tomato, thin white bread. Don't waste your time - or money! Terrible service, terrible food!!

Stopped here for a coffee as I needed a pick me up for my journey to Mount Gambier recently. Coffee was good, staff were ok, a bit disinterested really, maybe because i wasn't staying for a meal. Menu looked good but would prefer to eat elsewhere.

Needed a pick me up on the last leg of our trip home so came into this cafe and had a milkshake each. Vanilla for me and caramel for my husband. Nice and cold and it sent us on our way home. Nice place to come for a drink or a meal.

Used to go here every so often when I was working and my crew were in Tailem bend for the day. Always served with a smile, great election of food and great prices. Very happy customer. :)

A friend and I ate here just the other day before heading down the road to visit the `Old Tailem town` attraction. Great selection of `good old Aussie tucker` to choose from on the menu. (Especially for a service station restaurant.) The person who served us was extremely friendly and the food did not take very long to be prepared. My friend and I both ordered beef burgers, (mine was with the lot), and it was really good. I did ask for a beef burger with the lot with no bacon and the lady who took my order asked if I wanted pineapple free of charge to replace the bacon. I was very happy with that as most places would actually have charged extra and not even offered it to begin with. Nice and clean facilities with lots of window space to soak up the sunshine.

Went here a few months ago, staff members were all very friendly, the place was clean and well kept, food was real aussie tucker as they describe it, big burgers with the lot, chips, steak sandwiches and similar, all cooked on the grill, coffee was decent as well. Average value ($4.20 for a medium coffee is a little steep) but good quality food, just what you need on a long road trip.

Approximate cost: $13.50
