Food is fantastic - always a beautiful array of fresh salads and lovely meals. Coffee is also fantastic. The downfall here is that the customer service is not very good - the staff are not very friendly and you have to cue up - it's very annoying and inappropriate for the style of food they provide- it reminds me or something they do at a low class pub!

Approximate cost: $10-20

First time there and I'm in no hurry to go back. The food is actually very good - I had their chicken terragon pie and it was delicious. However, when I was queueing to order and pay for my food, there was nary a hint of a smile on the waitress's face. I mean, c'mon - I might not look like a toorak mum but aren't I still a customer? The waitress who served us our food and the one who waited on our table (so that's 3 different staff in total) all looked like their job, and consequently us, were beneath them.

Bottom line: the food is great, but the bitter aftertaste is not worth the high prices ($15 for a pie? With no salad or anything else?). I'd take my money elsewhere where the staff can crack a smile.

Approximate cost: $15-20

The best coffee in the area. No other place beats it and I go there everyday. If you're after cakes, they look devine and it's worth going there just for the cakes. The salads also look amazing, but are way too expensive and I wouldn't buy them for that reason. It's worth a visit for the coffee and cake though.

At Cooper and Milla you have to queue to order your food, sit and eat it in a room that is as narrow as a corridor, and then queue again to pay for your food. As unappealing as that sounds the place is always packed and I (obviously amongst many others) just keep coming back for more. Why, you may ask? Because of the food! At the shop front is a display of as many as 10 different salads all made with top quality ingredients and all with interesting flavors and textures, as well as a display cabinet full of various house made patties, slices, schnitzels etc, a top of the counter array of tempting looking desserts, and usually 2 types of gourmet sandwiches. Everything tastes good, prices are fair, and with such variety there is something to please everyone.

A quality restaurant should not make customers order and pay at a counter. That's low class. We waited in a queue 15 minutes to pay a bill. It spoiled the meal. Coffee, muesli and eggs were ordinary. The bread overwhelmed the taste of the poached eggs. The hot chocolate was just warm. Zucchini omelette was very good. Over priced for service and quality.

Approximate cost: $16
