The best think about Copacabana Int. is there show on a Saturday night. The dancers are energetic and passionate about their dance. If you come for a dinner, it is buffet, and for me a bit overpriced. The highlight is the meat that comes around, it is delicious. The rest of the food is quite mediocre, nothing special. After your meal you can have a bit of a dance out on the dance floor or enjoy a nice drink in one of the 2 bars.

Approximate cost: $45

The dancers were cool and a different touch, but it didn't have much more than that. A friends bag was stolen as well, which was surprising, but added a negative element to my opinion of the place.

Have been there many many times because they were great. The food is great (if you're not vegetarian) there's a lot of Brazilian style cooked meats, there's a huge salad bar (including rice, pasta, bread, vegies, chips etc) which is self serve, about 3-4 bars in there so plenty of choice when one is overcrowded after it turns into a nightclub. However... because we have been there many times, we know the drill. The main downer is the live bands aren't as good as they used to be. The venue is packed in, dinner usually kicks off at about 7ish, a floor show of Rio Carnivale style dancing at about 10ish and then after that, Copa is open as a club where other patrons can pay a door fee to enter (obviously you don't pay this if you've booked dinner there). It's a great place to take someone who has never been there before or experienced Brazilian food and dance - you can guarantee they will be stuffed with food and their eyes will pop out at the floor show, men and women alike. Becomes routine when you've been there multiple times. They need to jazz things up a bit.

I can't believe this isn't on WOMOW yet! We experienced Copacabana during a farewell party for friends heading off to South America. What a fantastic night we had!! The 7 course dinner was awesome - you'll try food you've never had before. Real brazilian dancing (think Rio de Janeiro!!), capoeira, hot dancers and really, really friendly authentic staff. The band played the best merenque I've heard in Australia and were not shy in getting everyone on the dance floor!
