I was surprised by Costco, nice place, okay staff. Prices weren't as flash as I expected

I was skeptical at first, but after my first time at Costco I was converted. They only stock the some of the best quality items at really great prices. Yes, you do buy things in larger quantities, but you don't need to buy in bulk as is sometimes assumed. You can save money even if you're just shopping for yourself. For instance, I buy my muesli bars there at ~$12 for 18, when as in the grocery shops they're ~$6 for 6.
And if you can, have one of their awesome $1.99 hotdogs!

We dropped in for some Tuscan Antipasto for an evening supper and could not believe the value for money. $13.29 for a family super size platter for a group of six. This is a wholesaler with plenty of bargains to be had and great taste testing on Saturday afternoons. We also like the range of hot dog stands and other eateries within the store.

Approximate cost: $14.00

Heaps of choices, great prices, big range of products from the USA as well as Australia. Great bulk items that feed my teenagers for ages.

I have to say, I really don't like that the person who's face is on the card is the one that has to pay for the whole shopping list. What if you went with a relative and they needed to pay for their part of the items, they don't allow other people to pay which is really disappointing. On the other hand the quality of various items is fantastic and value for money is great. This is mainly due to bulk buying. A very good place to shop if you have a big family, but if you have a small family consisting of three people or less, costco is not reccommended.

We do our bulk shopping there. The kitchen wipes and Toilet Paper are the best value for a family of 7. The last over two months. My Sanitary products have lasted over 4 months.

We also bought the birthday cake there for my Daughter and it was more than enough and tasted great.

Our shopping bill usually is around $300 but for the longevity of the items before we run out I think it is great

Approximate cost: $300

Great variety of goods at fantastic prices, especially bulk goods. First discovered Costco when visiting the US and am so happy they are now in Australia. They have so many different line items and most are very competitively priced. You have to buy an annual membership but the savings far outweigh the membership cost. Highly recommended.

Basically Costco sells the best quality goods for the price of the cheapest. We have used them in the UK, Canada and USA - I love them. Their customer service is brilliant with a no worries returns policy. What you see is what you get at a brilliant price and have a pizza and great coffee too ($1.99 coffee!) *You need to join and can only preview the store during the week. Well worth if - from fruit to tvs.
