What a shame they closed down. We used to come here all th time when we worked in the area. Such a shame they make fantastic BLT
Quant little hidden gem. Fabulous food and fabulous staff. The cafe itself is decked out in retro decor which makes for a interesting experience. It is a trip down memory lane for those a bit older who grew up in Brisbane. There are old photos and memorabilia everywhere.
More importantly, the food is devine. Everything on the menu is exellent. Fresh food, great flavours. Excellent coffee. My family's favourite is the steak burgers. Love, love, love it.....
Might have to pop back in very soon....
A 5-star cafe in Carina - what a little gem! There is a very welcoming atmosphere and the staff are very friendly from the moment we arrived, but not over-the-top-enthusiastic, like some places! We ordered a gluten-free slice and a burger and both were very, very tasty. Prices are extremely good...needless to say, on our next trip though, we'll definitely stop in again!
I work nearby so I have been here often.the first thing you will notice about this place besides the decor is the staff who are very welcoming. The food is great value for money with a range of different meals and snacks. My favorite thing about this cafe is the staff don't treat you like another customer but like your a friend.
A very quaint little cafe, where there are so many interesting collectables to look at whilst waiting for whatever one has ordered.(could almost be in Europe) The staff are very pleasant, friendly, always remember your name, which is wonderful!
The food is all freshly cooked, and Alan's coffee is the best!!! The prices are ridiculously low, and make my trip to Carina every two weeks so enjoyable. Old fashioned service with a welcoming smile every time, thankyou and well done
I booked a table for 4 people on Mother's Day not knowing what to expect but encouraged by on-line reviews. Although quite small, and obviously more used to walk-ups than bookings, we were all delighted. We had a range of meals (burger, fish, veal, pasta) and each compared favorably to some significantly more expensive restaurant meals (plus they were generously sized). Being a small cafe, service was prompt and personal. Overall, it was an ideal relaxing lunch --- we weren't rushed but were treated to delicious food at great price. Bravo. We'll be back.
Approximate cost: $10-15
A little gem in a sea of mediocracy. quaint decor that makes you want to come back over and over again. Loved it.
Been going there regularly for 2 years. They've made something special out of a little space. Love the decor and little old-time knick knacks around the place.
Following a recommendation from a work colleague we called in for a Sunday brekky. Owners were engaging, friendly and accommodating. The meal exceeded our expectations with hearty sized serving, very tasty ingredients rather than the ho hum run of the mill fair we have come to expect at some cafes.
The quirky decor was charming, another treat away from the norm. How wonderful to find this little gem.
Good quality home cooked food, portion sizes probably too generous, the service is cheerful and friendly, prices are reasonable and the atmophere great. The cafe is a little crowded with ornaments, but there is a genuine attempt to please the customer. I am a regular customer sometimes eating in but at other times taking away. The quality does not change. I work close by and this is one or my preferred lunch time venues.
Approximate cost: $12.00
