DO NOT USE - MINUS ZERO STARS ONLY BUT HAD TO GIVE 1

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PERSON. A 3 day job has now turned into 2 weeks. He only worked for 2 days. Richard is full of excuses from losing mobile phone and wallet, to equipment breakdowns. Does not answer his phone and does not respond to messages. Ended up going around to his home address to find him in his front yard. to ask when he is going to complete the job, to which his new excuse is that he was robbed and beaten up. Did not look beaten up to me. Asked him to remove his equipment that he left behind at my property by the end of day today, as it will be left on vacant block of land and I will not be responsible if it should go missing. His reply is oh I will have to find someone to pick it up.

I would absolutely NOT recommend this business. We got half the job done over two months ago and we all we have from this man since is excuses and cancelled times when he was coming to finish the job. If I could get hold of him I would tell him to forget it because I'm looking for someone else to finish the job.
The only reason for the one star rating is that you can't post this without at least one star. He's not worth any stars.

I was recommended this business through a friend who has seen it around. He arrived on time for his quote and seemed to have a really good knowledge of what he was doing. I wanted to have garden edging put around my palms out the front of my house to make a garden bed underneath. He gave me plenty of options, had photos, and even suggested houses he has done for me to go check out, which I did. Overall his price was reasonable and I was happy to have him start. The first time he was supposed to show up he called that morning and explained that he couldn't make it . I really appreciated the phone call and we rescheduled for the following week and then things went sour. He didn't show up but this time never called. I left a message on his phone but got no return call. I called the next day and left another message. A week later I was still calling and leaving messages but getting no reply. I was wondering if he had lost his phone or if something had happened to him because he was so keen and professional during the quoting process. Today (about 2 weeks later) I called again and this time he answered. I identified myself and politely asked what happened him hoping for some explanation and a rescheduled date. His curt response was "I'm giving it in" and THEN HE HUNG UP IN MY EAR. I tried to call him back hoping we had just been disconnected but after ringing a few times he rejected the call. Now I like to think I am a fairly understanding person, I understand that things come up and perhaps something personal may have happened, but to deliberately avoid answering my calls, not returning messages and then to hang up in a customer's ear is NOT ON. I would have prefered a quick phone call 2 weeks ago to say he wasn't doing it anymore to allow me time to find a replacement. Instead I was strung along waiting and not knowing what was happening or if he was going to show up and start the job. Very poor form. The only consolation was that I had not put any money down so I have not lost anything except my time and effort.
