My third and final experience with DC motors has shown why I was told over and over not to go there. I dropped my car off for a problem to be diagnosed, the next day I was told not to drive it and they could fix the problem by the next day for $845.
They then informed me they didn't know how to do the job they confidently quoted on and it would take longer. Once my car was in pieces a part I'd asked to be checked was suddenly stuffed, with the extra parts and labor increase the cost was just over $1500, I'd asked if this part was ok before they disabled my car and was advised that it's fine, they had removed much more than I had actually been advised they would need to remove. The wrong aftermarket part was then ordered twice in a week so I had to order a ridiculously expensive genuine part.
All up it took DC motors 4 whole weeks to return my car and the price eventually rose to over $2100. This price increase was mostly labor, for the job that would originally take 4 hours and cost $845. I was forced to use my insurance and once I got them involved DC motors pushed my car down to the lowest priority taking an entire week to provide a quote for insurance after insurance had to call them twice during which time I was not entitled to a loan car and my wife and I who have three kids and work full time had to car pool, the quote provided to insurance increased the price again to over $2700. They blamed insurance for the delays despite my insurance taking less than a day to request a quote, 2 days to assess and approve the quote (once received) and less than 24 hours to submit payment and attempt to provide remittance. DC motors then promised my car would be ready several times and then said they have other cars booked in in front of mine. On the 26th day they advised us early in the morning it would be ready at lunch time, just before 4pm they rang with the good news that it's fixed and then told us what they had neglected to mention at any other time, the car would not be released until insurance pay in full, even if I pay the excess. Finally on the 28th day I got my car back and was offered no apology or explanation for the delays and appalling customer service. During this ordeal I made numerous complaints to their parent company Crick Auto Group and Renault which only seemed to make them determined to make me wait longer. Part of my rear bumper was left hanging down with the bolt completely missing and my injectors had not been removed (as confirmed by an independent mechanic) despite the invoice listing them as having been cleaned which I assume means they just cleaned them with a fuel additive, something I would not have paid money for.

The second time I had them perform a cambelt change, it took nearly a week and several calls being told I have to prepay for parts, then I don't then I do, then I don't before I had it booked in only to turn up on the day and be told no parts have been ordered as they wanted to see what parts were needed after doing a service, I did not ask them to do a service and had told them exactly what parts were needed.

The first visit I took the car in due to the car pulling to the right when braking and losing power on boost, I wanted them to investigate but they performed work without seeking approval from me. They apparently bled my brakes and also performed a wheel alignment which resulted in a constant pull to the left and did not fix the braking issue, the issue was still present as soon as I left their workshop despite being told it's fixed.
They quoted on a new Turbo Solenoid as this was causing the power loss on boost which I happily ordered and they quoted $140 to fit it, I fitted the Solenoid myself in less than 5 minutes so can not understand how it was going to cost $140.
