Daniel did an amazing job on a dress that I commissioned for the races, he even went to the length of creating a matching headpiece for me! I am familiar with many designers and business trading and stocking in the area and I must say I know first hand the extent problems Daniel has endured with consignment labels (which he no longer stocks). It's good to see he has scraped by to overcome the testing time posed by the floods.
I'm in the process of getting two other dresses made and they are coming along really well.
It's disappointing to see some of these negative comments as I don't believe Daniel can be held fully accountable for the short falls of others and it should be understood he is a big name designer but a small business, I'm always faced with Ill fitting clothing and I've never felt more beautiful than when I'm wearing my Daniel Alexander. I will continue to wear his clothes and purchase from Daniel. I believe him to be an underdog of the fashion world (& I love that he manufactures locally!).

Daniel Alexander is extremely unprofessional. My gown was only made available the day of my event, despite being paid weeks earlier, and it was crushed and unsteamed. He does not return phone calls or emails and is very demeaning in his manner. I will not support his business again with my custom.
Type your comment in here...My nightmare with Daniel Alexander from Daniel Alexander Couture began in Oct 2010. In preparation for my March 2011 wedding, I ordered 3 dresses for my bridesmaids and paid for two at the time. I was assured they would all be ready for collection in Dec 2010. Jan 2011 arrived and no dresses. After a number of emails, phone calls, text messages and visits to his store on Anne St, the result was him leaving me and my wedding party (inc. a 2yr old toddler) outside the rear of his locked store in 33 degree heat whilst he retrieved the dresses from his ‘studio’. He never returned.
After realising Daniel was being dishonest with me, I lodged a dispute with my credit card company and I received a refund because the goods were never supplied.
I have since realised that the dresses I chose in Daniel Alexander’s shop were on consignment for another designer. Yet he led me to believe he was the maker and designer of the dresses, even to the point of telling me he was hand dying the fabric.
Daniel Alexander is extremely dishonest, demeaning, rude, unprofessional and egotistical. The clothes in his store are not worth the hassle of dealing with him.
Daniel Crooke (aka Daniel Alexandar) should not be trusted.
My dress was not completed on time and all attempts to contact him failed. The dress once completed was poorly made with terribly stitching. It was a painful saga that no one else should have to endure. I have a sneaking suspiscion that Daniel does not do any of the designing or creation himself, but of course is happy to lie to our faces about it.
Very unhappy.
Avoid at all costs.
