Ive only been here a few times. Its like a cute little cafe with average tables and chairs. But they are always changing the fresh catch of the day. I usally get the deep grilled flake and with chips, Even for battered fish it dosent come out to greasy and they serve the chips in a baskets not on your plate they also give you a little dipping container of tarter sauce

This restaurant needs to decide what it really is. Does it want to be an "upmarket" seafood emporium, or does it just want to serve good fish and chips without the fancy trimmings. Right now it's neither. The shop is small, sort of pokey with lots of tables and chairs, a boring stainless steel counter and one attempt at a mural on the wall.

The fish is expensive, much more than I would consider "normal" - $7 for a flake. Having said that, the fish itself (fried fish) was very nice, crunchy batter and soft, melting fish. However the grilled flake I also ordered was, without my consent, sprinkled with pepper, and other random red and green spices and consequently my husband couldn't eat it. I was not asked if I'd like this or not. Same with the lemon - it was plastered all over the fish without asking.

Serve of chips was very small - medium would be lucky to feed two people. And not all that great, though not bad either. Potato cakes okay but nothing to write home about, dim sim undercooked.

With plenty of choice around here for fish and chips, I won't be returning.

They also have hamburgers, salads and various packs of food combinations. Drink fridge only had 4 types of cans in it and water.

Closed Monday and Tuesday. Located along Nelson Place with the ice creams shops and Nandos and other cafes.

Approximate cost: $61 for family serving

Williamstown has always been a bit of a food desert, you have to choose your eateries carefully. But you can eat here with confidence because if you love your fish and chips you'll be in seventh heaven. Big, fluffy hand cut chips and delicious, fish in crispy batter. Service could be quicker but really this food is worth the wait.

Approximate cost: $14.00
