This is a great little brunch/lunch/anytime food stop. It's had a make-over in the recent past from just a delicatessen, albeit a good one. Now it's got some tables with umbrellas on the quiet street to enjoy your food, or a neat and comfortable seating area inside if you wish.

You can get a great range of things here - some takeaway food as well such as hamburgers, dim sims and potato cakes. Also toasted sandwiches, fresh made sandwiches and rolls, milkshakes and plenty of dessert choices in cakes and baked goods.

It's small but welcoming inside, the pleasant lady made me a pretty good cappuccino and the caramel slice I had was really sensational - light and melt in the mouth and no thick tasteless layer of pasty on the bottom - lots of caramel filling. The meat pie was also bakery quality - nice real meat filling and a light, tasty pastry. I was also able to get a bag of 6 really huge fresh rolls to take away. Only slight quibble - the croissant was wrapped in cling wrap, so had lost some of its crispness.

All in all a good, relaxed experience and a very handy place to stop where you feel at home and not like you have to dress up to get served.

Approximate cost: $16 for 5 items - coffee, pie, and other baked goods.
