An excellent and affordable experience for the family, rides are $4 and everyone can ride - they have have a special access carriage on one of their trains if you require assisted seating!
This is a great little adventure for the young ones. My 2 year old loves trains and when we took him on to this he was so excited, he went on 4 times in a row. There was a line but so many trains operating that you don't wait long. There is also a park close by which is great to play in (fully fenced so kids cant get out) and an oval to kick the ball around on. Plenty of parking, take a picnic lunch and make a day of it.

We took our 2yr old train fanatic here yesterday and not only did he love it - my husband and I had a ball as well.
Couldn't believe it was only $3 an adult to ride the trains (kids $1 I think)
There was so many people and the line was very long - but they have so many trains operating that you really don't have to wait long at all.
Trains themselves are done up so well, it really is impressive.
You go over bridges and through tunnels which kids just love.
There's also 2 impressive play grounds for the kids and there was even some ponies for pony rides.
Fantastic and cheap day out for the kids and big kids alike!

Adults and children alike can ride the trains, and as someone who doesn't get all that excited by trains, I really enjoyed it.
It is an absolute bargain at only $3 each and the trip is quite good (around 15minutes).
The volunteers who run the trans are lovely and friendly.
The park is a great place to picnic with plenty of spots to enjoy, there is also a playground, BBQ and toilets.

Love this miniature railway line. It's a fun day out for all the family and has lots of interesting things to see whilst you are on the railway.
A good area for picnics too with plenty of play ground areas.
Diamond Valley Railway is a FANTASTIC outing, especially considering its only $3 per person - what's Puffing Billy these days? And yes, because it is such a good deal and the kids LOVE it they are packed out every Sunday so get in early! Also a great park for parties so check out their website.

We had my sons birthday party here. The rides were brilliant and seem to go for a reasonable length of time, just the right amount for little ones. The queues move quickly. The tables and chairs and bbqs are situated ina great spot to watch the trains go past. There is some hill that goes down to a ditch that is out of sight near the tables so you need to keep an eye on the kids because of that small danger, otherwise stress free and heaps of fun!

I've visited this miniature railway for many years and always enjoyed the day. I've had birthday parties in the park adjacent to the railway and ridden the miniature trains with my friends. Excellent value and great detail taken to re-creating the models.
