Dick Smith electronic shops aren't a patch on what they used to be. There was always some tech head geek working there who knew what you were talking about and could help you. Now they've just got young general retail staff. You ask for a resistor and they just give you a blank look.

I recently purchased a computer for my son from this store. After a lot of shopping around we decided to purchase the computer from dick smith. The staff were very helpful but not too pushy. They answered all our questions and threw in a bag for his laptop at no extra cost (love those extras). We have also been to dick smith in sale for mobile phones, printers and a few other purchases. Their prices are reasonable and they do try to lower the price if you pay cash (but you do have to ask).
