7 reviews about Din San Nursery & Trade Market

Have been visiting Din San for a few years and often recommend landscape partners to purchase once I have made decisions on stock. Customer service has always been poor and has recently reached an all time low. Well known in the industry that the staff are lazy and unhelpful yet according to their website they pride themselves on 'excellent customary service'. Whoever is running the place needs to overhaul their customer service and take a lesson in effective management.

Plants died after a week of planting, full of diseases. The worst part were the rude swearing managers , fat man and Mark. If I ran my business like this it wouldn’t last long. Maybe they don’t care because Hawthorn football club has bought their premises and their closing soon anyway ! Bye bye no more account with these jokers who think customers don’t know their plants . They have made errors on trees and plants for years and I accepted it. Plenty of better nursery near by

I spent $4800 on plants with Din San which included 26 pyrus trees for planting along a driveway. 2 of the trees in the middle of the driveway died within a few weeks of planting. I suspected the 2 trees were diseased but when I asked for them to be replaced, I was told it wasn't their problem and I must have drowned them. This is extremely unlikely as my landscaper and I both checked the roots which looked fine, all 24 other trees are alive and healthy and the land slopes which means the water runs to the bottom (the trees at the bottom are fine). When I spoke to Sam, he was rude and unhelpful. Avoid these guys at all costs. They are happy to take your money but will not offer any sort of support afterwards even when selling you defective products.

Approximate cost: $4800

Great prices. Staff are eventually helpful. Customer service is poor compared to other trade nurseries. More competition is required in Melbourne - particularly for indoor plants.

Avoid a Sales Rep [Removed name] on Saturdays as he is very rude and unhelpful. [Removed comment] I have been purchasing from Din San for a long time now and for the first time have felt the need to try another nursery just down the road- Very disappointing.

Dinsan carries heaps of stock, I brought some advanced trees & close on 2000 native grasses, a lot cheaper than other wholesalers & I was happy with the quality & service.

Approximate cost: $35000

Not cheaper at all

Good on price, good on service and they can always get you what you want. I often have to ring to order things last minute, so the quality can be poor but that's what you'd expect.
