I love Dirty Janes. It is by far the best antique store around. There is always a constant turnover of stock (French, American, Australian), everything is great (and well priced) and you won't be afraid to use it, plus the staff are very helpful. My recommendation is if you see something, buy it as it won't be there next time (experience has taught me this). Also out back is a huge warehouse (the Antique Market) where there is an expanding group of small antique stalls which run the gamut and also get on the email list for the Bush Auctions held in the carpark.

The southern highlands has become known for it's range of antiques and second hand shops, and Dirty Janes Antique Market is a fabulous addition to the scene.

Set in an old warehouse just off Bong Bong Street, the Market contains a whole range of individual shops which are setup on a permanent basis, and sell just about every type of second hand item you could possibly think of. This includes vintage clothes, homewares, furniture, pictures and ornaments.

Compared to Sydney, prices here are very reasonable and you could easily fitout your home with beautiful antique goods for a fraction of the price you would pay buying new.

The staff are very welcoming and friendly, and happy to point you in the right direction if you're unsure where to find things. Even if you're not looking for anything particular, the eclectic variety of items on offer make this a very diverting shopping experience.

Well worth the trip if you're an out-of-towner.
