Sadly we had a terrible experience here, we were seated beside a huge and extremely noisy table when the tables were empty all around, then we had to go up to the bar and ask for a waitress and she was acting like we were invisible, we had the beef nachos and were told the meals were huge.... ours was a plate of dry corn chips with about 4 pieces of beef under burnt melted cheese for $18 each !!! I would go to a Mad Mex in the shopping centre food court and have a better meal for half the price, wont be back very disappointing :(

Jalapeño Poppers are amazing, the reason I go there. Service can improve but price has gone up heaps in the last couple of years.

For a delicious and casual mexican experience in Taringa, Dos Amigos is the best choice! Its busy without being crowded, noisy without being raucous and is on par for price with other mexican restaurants in the area.

Dos Amigos, however, has somethings that the other mexican places dont - and those somethings are Jalapeno Poppers - $2.95 each or 5 for $10. A whole Jalapeno pepper stuffed with cream cheese, crumbed and fried - so absolutely delicious!

I cannot comment on the meat menu (as a vegetarian!) but the servings and meals for those of us who be bean fiends are plentiful - plentiful options and plentiful servings!
They cook their own corn chips and make their own delicious salsas and guacamoles. The drinks are reasonable and they are licensed.

Definitely one of my favourite places to eat!

I haven't been here for a while, but it's a great Mexican restaurant - the food is excellent, the atmosphere also great and it's pretty good value. Must go back again...

Food is fantastic. When seated the table recieves a complimentary bowl of salsa and corn chips. Drinks are reasonably priced with 4 coronas for $20. Entrees are prepared and served quickly to the table. Mains take a while to come out but the food makes it worth the wait.

Approximate cost: $20

Went there for lunch a few times, expensive, but their fajitas are fantastic. I would go back but its not something i'd write home about. Their service is friendly and courteous.

Approximate cost: $30
