I had previously visited 2 other specialist surgeons for two hernias that had been diagnosed but didn’t commit. Strange I know but I was very anxious about this surgery. I was instantly at ease with Dr Berney’s approach, he was informative, confident and calming. The surgery was much better than I had expected, there was indeed 3 hernia's as had been forecasted as a possibility only found due to very thorough surgical investigation. I was diagnosed with colon cancer last year and Dr. Peter Yap, my GP, referred me to Dr. Berney. He specialises in keyhole surgery, which uses minimally invasive techniques. He operated on me Tuesday night and I was discharged on Sunday morning! I was back at work within five weeks! My largest scar is a cut on my belly that measures six cm! When I was in hospital he visited me at least once a day and his post-op follow ups are outstanding. He is bilingual (not that it helped me any as I don't speak French, but I'm sure French-speaking people would love this!) and he was trained in Switzerland and Australia. I couldn't have had a better surgeon. I would put my life in his hands. Any time.
